My first love is crafting, and I have been making things since I could hold a pair of scissors. Distracted by 25 years working in the corporate worlds of supermarkets and welfare to work (although I did do various courses throughout that time such as hat making and pattern cutting to keep my hand in) I’ve decided that I want to return to my first love and not only create for myself but teach others to make beautiful things for their home and family and gifts for friends.
Harry and Floss Workshops are aimed at beginners who want to experience different types of crafts without having to commit to a lengthy and costly course, we will give tuition in your chosen craft over a 2 hour period so you get the basic techniques you need and then time to complete a project that you can either repeat or develop with your own flourish and designs in your own time. (Kits are available)
We want to provide you with a fun filled few hours where you learn something new and leave proud of your creation. Making something from nothing using your own two hands and a little imagination is a fulfilling way to spend time. Meet new people, learn new skills and do something for yourself (and eat a piece of cake or two).
You will be provided with expert tuition, all materials needed to make the project and written instructions to take away. All we need is you to bring along your own sewing machine where applicable (please note: it would be really good if you can check your machine is in working order, and that you are confident in threading it as although we can help time is precious on the courses)
Harry and Floss Workshops invite you to come along with some friends or on your own to create something fabulous for yourself or as a gift.
